I regularly do sample translations for Norwegian publishers seeking English-language publishers for new titles. I love this work, which helps me flex my translator’s muscles by exposing me to a wide range of writing styles and keeps me up to date with what’s new in the publishing world. I have a particular soft spot for children’s writing, which often involves entertaining – and challenging – word play.
